Ian recalls the time when he joined Dowty Rotol in 1976 from Bristol Aviation where he served his apprenticeship.
He talks about a job interview which he had for a Service Department job, where he worked from 1979 until 2005
Ian talks about his work on BA146 & SF340 at Com Air Cincinnati in 1985
He recalls some of the aircraft incidents that he was involved with, including a landing gear crash investigation on a BaE 146 and a problem with a seal on an Airbus A320
His work with Dowty in the Service Department caused him to travel all over the world and he claims that he covered 240,000 flight miles in one year.
Ian retired from Dowty in 2010
