Pershore Abbey
This note is to assess the interest of people associated with the Dowty name as a worldwide company who would like to purchase a ticket for which the allocation will be dictated by the size of the Abbey (see pictures below)
The following items need mentioning:
The life size bronze statue is currently being manufactured and subject to consent will be erected in Pershore, site to be confirmed.
The town is associated with Sir George as it was his birthplace, he attended the grammar school and he is buried there as is his twin brother. He financed the alter rail in the Abbey and there is a blue plaque in the town in his name.
The musical recital will not be specifically religious, your ideas will be welcome (The Dam Busters theme springs to mind as one).
The programme would start at 1:00pm with a meeting around the statue followed by a 2-hour recital in the abbey starting at 2:00pm
Ticket price – £10 each
