Three of Sir George Dowty’s favourite photographs.

A photograph taken in the nineteen sixties by  either Tom Hustler or Dorothy Wilding- both famous photographers of royalty. When the Dowty Annual Report commenced featuring Sir George’s photograph -alongside the Chairman’s report – it was this picture Sir George chose. The picture continued in every report until 1975.

Receiving an award from HRH Duke of Edinburgh at the Theatre Royal, London

The Dowty Board following the 1936 flotation. Seated next to George Dowty is A W Martyn – Chairman from flotation until 1947 when he passed away.
