Sir George Dowty – Service of Thanksgiving at Tewkesbury Abbey, 22nd December 1975
This service was held at Tewkesbury Abbey and the lessons were read by his son George, the Vicar of Arbory in the Isle of Man and the Duke of Beaufort.

The attached address by the Rev. Canon H.A.Evan Hopkins sometime Rector of Cheltenham is masterful – particularly the note that Sir George had written in his last days “This is the day the Lord hath made: I will rejoice and be glad in it”.
