Attached is the introduction to the Dowty Mining paper which appeared on the CoalZoom site yesterday.
Circulation is 5,000 – mainly in the USA and farther afield.
The two papers the Committee have released to date were authored by John Whitaker but he acknowledges the very considerable help given by David Davis (ex MD of Dowty Propellers) and Richard Leitch (a senior Dowty Mining executive).
Wyn Griffiths has also been most helpful.
The Battle of Britain paper continues to be in considerable demand – from some very senior people – and we are experiencing the same with regard to this Mining paper.
A sequel is called for and a suggestion is a paper regarding the characteristics of the Dowty Chairman over the life of the Dowty business.
