R H Bound F.R.Ae.S, F.S.E, M.I.M.E, A.I.M.A.E was a Technical Director of Dowty Equipment, he had considerable experience of aircraft design, having worked with Hawker Aircraft, A V Roe and Percival Aircraft
He was elected a Fellow of The Royal Aeronautical Society in November 1941
He wrote several papers and books on Aircraft Hydraulics, most notably “Aircraft Hydraulic Equipment” which provided a comprehensive review of hydraulic parts and equipment for aircraft, including pumps, control valves, jacks, retracting undercarriages. feathering airscrew controls, etc. also the dismantling and assembling of hydraulic units, and full details of testing.
He was undoubtedly a key employee for Dowty Equipment which provided them much sucess as an Aircraft Components supplier
